Detailed Itinerary
Day-1Cochin Airport/ Railway/ Bus-Station - Cherai Beach - 70 Kms -2 HrsArrive at Cochin Airport/Ernakulum Railway/Bus station, our representative greets you, and then proceed proceed towards Cherai Beach, on the way visit sightseeing places in Cochin which includes Chinese fishing nets, Fort Cochin, Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace, St. Francis Church, Marine Drive Jew Street etc. Arrive at Cherai, check-in at your hotel; spend leisure time at the Beach with your loved ones, have delicious dinner at any Restaurant, go back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day-2Cherai Beach - Athirapally - 55 Kms -1.5 HrsAfter breakfast,proceed to Athirapally & Vazhachal waterfalls. It is the most beautiful waterfall of South India for its amazing natural beauty. It's famous for the ever green forest covered with a rocky upper part in the river for bathing and other activities. Athirapally is scenic combination of forests and small streams. Falling from a height of eighty feet; this is one of the largest waterfalls in the state. You will be transferred to hotel. Check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day-3Athirapally-Munnar - 130 Kms -4 HrsAfter breakfast check-out from Athirapally hotel, proceed to Munnar. Munnar is famous hill station in Kerala for its beauty and unending expands of Tea plantation. It’s a popular honeymoon destination in South India. Munnar hill station is 1600 meter above the sea level, which is situated at the confluence of 3 mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. You would visit Adimali (wholesale place for spices and cardamom), Cheyyappara waterfalls (not active from February to May), Valara waterfalls (not active from February to May), Spice Plantation, Tea plantation etc. Check in at your hotel in Munnar, have a comfortable overnight stay.
Day-4Munnar - Munnar (Full Day) - 80 Kms -9 HrsAfter a hearty breakfast at hotel proceed for exciting tour. Sightseeing includes Photo point, Eravikulam National park where the endangering Nilgiri Tahr is conserved(Eravikulam National Park will be closed due to calving of Nilgiri Tahr from 29th January till 31st March), Mattupetty Dam(Boat ride optional), Echo point(Natural Echo phenomenon will happen), Film shooting point, Kundale lake(popular dam where you can go for Shikara boating). Post lunch, you will visit Tea Museum; where you get to know the process of tea plantation. Then visit Blossom Park, Pothenmedu View Point, Rose garden, Tea Plantation. Our staff will drop you at hotel, relax and retire for the night. Note: Monday is holiday at Tea Museum.
Day-5Munnar-Thekkady - 100 Kms -2.5 HrsAfter Breakfast, proceed to Thekkady tour. Thekkady is famous for its evergreen forest and savanna grass lands, natural spices such as black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, clove etc. On the way from Munnar to Thekkady, you will enjoy beautiful journey through the hills and valleys to reach this jungle destination. You would visit World’s most fascinating Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary here. You can choose to travel in cruise on Lake Periyar. Boating will take two hours and you also get rare glimpses of wild animals. Check-in at your hotel. Spend rest of the day at leisure or go for paid tour which is an optional tour. Paid tour such as Jeep Safari, Kathakali show, Spice plantation visit, elephant ride an Ayurvedic massage treatment. Go back to hotel and relax.
Day-6Thekkady-Kumarakom - 140 Kms -4 HrsAfter breakfast check out and transfer to Kumarakom. Kumarakom is famous for its backwater tourism also known for its lush greenery. It’s ideal place for relaxation. Check-in at resort, relax. Proceed to Sightseeing in Kumarakom. Sightseeing includes places like Bird santuray, Kumarkom Back waters, Thannermukkam Bund, Pady fields. You can also go for Village walk, try fishing activities etc. Have overnight stay at resort.
Day-7Kumarakom - Alleppey Houseboat - 30 Kms -1 HrsPost breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed towards Houseboat in Alleppey. Houseboat sails through the backwaters of Alleppey gives you an amazing experience with its cool breeze, migratory birds around, seasonal rain etc. Houseboat check-in is at 12 PM and checkout is at 9AM. Board the houseboat as per check-in time, have a great lunch offered in Houseboat and relax. The houseboat will cruise from 12 noon till sunset (One hour stop will be there during lunch). In the morning boat will cruise from 8 to 9 o clock. Cruise boat will be operated as per govt rule. Enjoy the Houseboat Cruise, nature, Delicious meals offered. A/C will be operational during the night (8PM TO 6AM). Have a comfortable overnight stay at Houseboat. Note: Full time AC will be provided upon guest request, at additional charges.
Day-8Alleppey-Kovalam - 160 Kms -4 HrsAfter Breakfast, check out and Proceed to Kovalam beach; the international beach destination of Kerala often called as the Paradise of South. Kovalam is famous for its shallow waters and low tidal waves. Lighthouse is the main attraction in this beach. On arrival check in to the resort later spend leisure time at Lighthouse beach. Have comfortable overnight stay at Resort.
Day-9Kovalam and Trivandrum full day tour - 50 Kms -8 HrsPost breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Trivandrum; capital City of Kerala. You would visit Padmanabhaswami Temple(Morning Darshan allowed till 12 PM, Evening 5PM to 7.30PM ),then Kuthiramalika palace, Sree Chithra Art Gallery, Napier Museum, Zoo, Planetarium( Closed on Mondays) Veli Tourist Village and Shangumugham beach etc. Later come back to Hotel in Kovalam for an Overnight stay.
Day-10Kovalam-Kanyakumari - 100 Kms -3 HrsAfter Breakfast check out and proceed to Kanyakumari; The southernmost tip of Indian subcontinent also a fantastic tourist spot with the specialty as three major sea joints together there (Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal). It’s a holy place for Hindu Pilgrims too. Kanyakumari represents the place where the spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda spent days in meditation upon a rock off of the coast. On the way, visit Suchindram temple. Check-in at hotel and relax. Then proceed for sightseeing; visit Devi Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda rock Memorial temple, Kanyakumari Gandhi Mandapam, Kanykumari beach and Kanyakumari Gandhi Mandapam (3 Oceans Joining). Return hotel for night stay.
Day-11Kanyakumari-Thiruvananthapuram Airport/Bus-station - 130 Kms -3.5 HrsAfter Breakfast check-out from the hotel, our staff will drop you to Trivandrum Airport/Railway/Bus as per your departure time. If time permits visit Trivandrum Temples. End of your trip. Return home with everlasting memories of the trip with Indus Traveller.
